There is no official Pokémon Nuzlocke app — the format is fan-made, so every app comes from the community. This page covers the apps that actually show up in 2026 searches and community recommendations, mobile and web.

Mobile apps

Nuzlocke Chart (Android & iOS)

The mainstream pick — the top Google Play result for “nuzlocke app” and also on the App Store (requires iOS 12.0+). Its pitch: “Use Nuzlocke Chart to keep track of all your Nuzlocke challenges. No need for spreadsheets or written notes.”

  • Log encounters, track run progress, keep run history on your phone.
  • Known limitation from community feedback: the free tier tracks one run at a time — multiple simultaneous runs require payment.
  • App Store reviews include requests for ROM hack route support — worth checking the current version’s game list if you play hacks.

Nuzlocke Vault (Android)

A brand-new entrant, listed on Google Play in August 2026 (developer: es.mirrorapps). It positions itself as a run-management companion: “Log every encounter on every route and keep track of the Pokémon…” It’s too new to have a review track record — try it alongside an established option before trusting it with a long run.

Community alternatives

In r/nuzlocke threads asking for app recommendations, users also mention Route Chart (multiple simultaneous runs, keeps old run history) and Goldex — not a Nuzlocke tracker per se, but a Pokédex app with gym leader/Elite Four/champion data that players repurpose for boss prep.

Web apps (work on any device)

If you’d rather skip app stores entirely, the best Nuzlocke tools are web apps that run fine in a phone browser:

  • nuzlocke-redux.vercel.app — multi-run encounter tracking, boss movesets and abilities, team matchup analysis. Actively maintained (© 2021–2026).
  • nuzlocketracker.org — free, no login, Emerald through Gen 9, customizable rulesets plus integrated guides.

The original nuzlocke.app

The classic web app nuzlocke.app (open source, BSD-3, created 2021) is currently paused — its deployment shows “temporarily paused” and the GitHub repo has been quiet since July 2024. The same author’s nuzlocke-redux is its successor. Details in our Nuzlocke tracker guide.

App vs. web: which should you use?

  • Play on the go, want native mobile UX: Nuzlocke Chart (mind the one-run free limit) or try Nuzlocke Vault.
  • Multiple runs at once, zero cost: a web app — nuzlocke-redux or nuzlocketracker.org.
  • Boss prep on mobile without a tracker account: the Goldex-style Pokédex app route.

Whichever you choose, decide your ruleset first — and if you’re running Hardcore, make sure your app can track level caps.
